Karen Whitfield
Registered Equine Assisted Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Life Coach

Karen is a registered Equine Assisted Psychotherapist certified through the Equine Psychotherapy Institute. Karen is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and Life Coach

She has worked in the health industry for over 30 years as a pharmacist before moving into Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, counselling and coaching. She has a Bachelor, Masters and PhD in pharmacy. She is also an Equine Emmett practitioner and currently undertaking studies in the Masterson technique. Karen is a Premier Member  of the International Institution for Complementary Therapies.

Karen has held several leadership positions as a hospital pharmacist and has facilitated many  workshops Nationally and Internationally on several topics including, leadership, creating effective teams and developing individual and team resilience.

Karen is passionate about providing counselling to support people achieve their therapeutic and developmental goals. She has a love for horses and their wellbeing in the counselling partnership is paramount.

Jenny Rollo
Registered Counsellor

Jenny is a Counsellor with special interest in family, children and adolescents.

Jenny has extensive experience working with children and families in the early education sector, as well as experience working within Queensland Health. She holds a Diploma of Counselling and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Jenny holds a Working with Children Bluecard.

Jenny’s life experiences position her well to provide gentle support to people as they navigate life’s challenges, twists and turns. Jenny has worked extensively with young people and adults to manage a range of mental health, developmental and personal issues that have impacted their lives.

Jenny is a counsellor with a special interest in family, children and adolescents.

John-Mark Payne
Equine Training Specialist

John-Mark has a passion for horses with over 20 years’ experience in training and starting horses. John-Mark began riding horses at the age of three and has worked on stations in North Queensland and the Northern Territory.

John-Mark and has developed a compassionate proven system to train horses in partnership with the human, starting with ground and in hand work. He aims to build a trusting relationship, with the goal of creating relaxation, healthy movement, posture and balance in the horse.
